David Brustman QC was admitted to practice in 1974 and signed the Bar Roll in 1975.

David is an experienced advocate practising predominantly in both criminal law and family law matters with experience in a wide range of jurisdictions. He has extensive experience in the conduct of jury trials and in particular homicide cases in the Supreme Court. David was invited to participate in the review process undertaken by the Victorian Law Reform Commission in relation to the law of homicide in 2004.

David has appeared in many complex and notable criminal and family law matters both in Victoria and interstate. In particular he established a busy trial practice in the Northern Territory.

David is available to accept briefs in criminal law, family law, and related matters at all levels and in all jurisdictions. 

David is also a keen pilot with experience and a particular interest in a range of matters, civil and criminal, relating to aviation.
