Sharon practises in criminal law and public law in all Victorian Courts.  She works principally as a criminal trial advocate; holds an Indictable Crime Certificate from the Victorian Bar; and is on the VLA Preferred Trial Counsel List.  She participated in the Court of Appeal Advocacy Program in 2018, coordinated by her Honour Justice Tate of the Court of Appeal in conjunction with Women Barristers Association. 

Sharon teaches Advocacy and Criminal Practice for Australian National University and undertakes academic research on a consultancy basis.

Sharon started out in general practise as a solicitor advocate and spent a year working for Aboriginal Legal Aid in the Northern Territory. She has been committed to the Community Sector, working as a volunteer in various capacities, since 1996.  She is presently on the Board of TheatreWorks.
