Darren Bruno practises in public and commercial law.

He acts for private and government clients in a range of commercial disputes, judicial review proceedings, merits review proceedings and other administrative law matters (including regulatory prosecutions).

Darren is also instructed to provide advice and draft pleadings (including allegations for regulatory and disciplinary proceedings). Darren advises on statutory interpretation, litigation prospects/evidence and policy development.

He provides training to government on administrative law and the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities. He has taught Administrative Law as part of the legal traineeship program at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Before coming to the Bar, Darren worked for 10 years as a solicitor in Melbourne, London and Adelaide across administrative and private law. This included commercial disputes, judicial review proceedings, employment law, contract law, anti-discrimination matters, regulatory prosecutions, tenancy law, torts and human rights.

He was an associate to the Honourable Justice Mullighan of the Supreme Court of South Australia.

Darren holds a Master of Public and International Law from the University of Melbourne and holds degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Adelaide.
