Jane Warren has experience in a wide range of criminal matters, including OH&S prosecutions.

She regularly appears as counsel in committal hearings, plea hearings and trials.

Jane has appeared as junior counsel in a number of Supreme Court matters, including trials for murder and manslaughter, and matters elevated to the Supreme Court due to their seriousness or complexity. 

She recently appeared as junior counsel for the prosecution in the lengthy Supreme Court trial of TUITE, which involved an extensive challenge to the current methods of managing, analysing and interpreting DNA evidence. 

Jane has also appeared as counsel in the Court of Appeal.

Prior to joining the bar Jane worked for over two years as a criminal solicitor with the Office of Public Prosecutions.

In 2011 she completed a secondment to the Victorian Court of Appeal, implementing changes introduced by the Criminal Procedure Act 2009.

She is a member of the VLA Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List and holds an Indictable Crime Certificate
