Patrick has experience in class actions and criminal law.

Prior to coming to the Bar, he worked on the landmark ‘Thalidomide’ class action, complex securities class actions, bushfire litigation in Western Australia, and the various Essendon Football Club supplements matters.

His prior criminal law experience came through being a solicitor-advocate with Stary, Norton & Halphen.  During that period, he conducted appearances across all Victorian courts and instructed in all types of criminal trials.

Since coming to the Bar, Patrick has been briefed in:

  • common law personal injury trials;
  • investigations into prospective class actions;
  • claims for compensation under the Sentencing Act;
  • complex criminal pleas;
  • contested criminal hearings; and
  • sporting tribunal proceedings.

Patrick is available to be briefed in all types of criminal matters, including pleas, committals, bail applications and contested hearings.  He read with Megan Tittensor, and his senior mentor is Jack Rush Q.C.
