PROFILE

Zeina accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law and quasi-criminal matters. 

Prior to coming to the Bar, Zeina was an Associate to His Honour Judge Tiwana in the County Court’s Criminal Division. Whilst working at the Court, Zeina assisted His Honour in drafting a number of critical decisions including hearsay rulings and sentencing reasons using high-level research skills. 

Zeina’s time at the Court provided her with exposure to various criminal proceedings, including trials, plea hearings, bail applications and appeals.

Zeina volunteered her time at community legal centres such as Springvale Community Legal Service and Youthlaw where she provided legal assistance to members of the community in a range of summary crime matters. 

Her professional career also includes working at an employment law firm, where she assisted in drafting letters and applications relating to unfair dismissal, general protections, and discrimination in a workplace.

Zeina holds a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) from Monash University. 

Zeina is fluent in Arabic.

Zeina is reading with Ashlee Cannon and her senior mentor is Catherine Boston SC.
