PROFILE

Jeremy graduated from Melbourne University in 1974. After being admitted to practice in 1975, Jeremy became a solicitor at the leading family law practice in Melbourne. He was admitted into the partnership the following year and undertook family and de facto law work until he resigned in 1983 to come to the Victorian Bar. Jeremy has practised exclusively in matrimonial and de facto law ever since. He took silk in 2002.

Whilst Jeremy undertakes all aspects of family law, including appellate work, in more recent years he has primarily undertaken complex financial cases.

Jeremy is a past Vice-Chairman of the Family Law Bar Association and was a member of the Ethics Committee of the Victorian Bar from 2008-2018. He has written specialist papers and presented lectures and seminars on many aspects of family law, including legislative change, binding financial agreements, ethical obligations, evidence, advocacy, cross-examination, third party rights, discovery and drafting documents.
