Anthony Lewis has experience in a range of areas including criminal law, commercial crime, proceeds of crime and occupational health and safety law. He has appeared in criminal trials in the County and Supreme Courts and in appeals in the Court of Appeal. Anthony is a Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial preferred barrister. He is also an accredited specialist criminal law advocate under the Victorian Bar's Indictable Crime Certificate program.Anthony also practises in general administrative law (both judicial review and merits review) and has appeared in the Federal Court, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Anthony’s experience also extends to coronial inquests and to regulatory investigations and disciplinary hearings.
Anthony also has a general interest in human rights law and public interest issues and has completed a Master of Public and International Law at the University of Melbourne.
