Jennifer accepts briefs to appear and advise in all areas of criminal and quasi-criminal law. She is an experienced advocate in both summary and indictable crime.
At the Bar, Jennifer has appeared in a broad range of criminal defence matters including matters involving homicide, drug trafficking/importation, sexual offences, violent offences and property offences. She is particularly interested in corporate crime and Worksafe prosecutions. She has experience in both state and Commonwealth criminal proceedings.
Jennifer regularly appears in committal hearings, contested hearings, pleas, appeals, bail applications and contraventions. She has appeared as junior counsel in criminal trials in the County Court and complex committals. She has also appeared in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
Jennifer accepts briefs in quasi-criminal matters including including administrative and regulatory matters, inquests, disciplinary tribunals and council prosecutions.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Jennifer was an Associate to her Honour Judge Davis at the County Court. In this role, she gained extensive experience in indictable criminal matters including numerous criminal trials, fitness investigations, special hearings, supervision order applications and mental impairment matters.
Jennifer commenced her legal career as a solicitor at Piper Alderman. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.
