Matt accepts briefs in all areas of criminal, quasi-criminal, and administrative law matters in regional and metropolitan areas. This includes occupational health and safety offences, disciplinary tribunal proceedings, regulatory matters, inquests, and judicial reviews.

Matt is reading with Mark Gumbleton and his senior mentor is Robert Richter QC.

Since coming to the Bar, Matt has appeared in a variety of matters in the:

  • Supreme Court of Victoria;
  • County Court of Victoria;
  • Magistrates’ Court of Victoria;
  • Children’s Court of Victoria; and
  • Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Matt was the Associate to his Honour Judge C Ryan at the County court of Victoria.
