Jenaya is an experienced advocate practising in criminal law.
At the Bar, Jenaya has appeared in a number of complex matters accross all areas of crime including sexual offences, homicide, drug offences, fraud, violence and serious driving offences. Jenaya has appeared in contested hearings, appeals, bail applications, committal hearings and plea hearings. As junior counsel, she has prepared and appeared in matters before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
Jenaya's written work has included drafting advices for regulatory authorities including WorkSafe Victoria and the Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner.
Prior to joining the Bar, Jenaya worked for six years as a solicitor and advocate, where she managed a large file load of complex indictable criminal cases. She was responsible for running trials, committals and pleas, in both Melbourne and in regional Victoria. She also represented clients in Royal Commissions.
