Jessica is an experienced criminal law practitioner. She accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law and related areas, including regulatory enforcement matters and commissions of inquiry. Jessica comes to the Bar with 10 years’ experience prosecuting and defending a wide range of summary and indictable crimes in Victoria and NSW.
As a senior federal prosecutor at the Commonwealth DPP, Jessica developed particular expertise in Commonwealth drug offences, tobacco smuggling and child sexual exploitation. As a specialist criminal solicitor in country NSW, Jessica appeared for clients on a daily basis, in summary hearings, bail applications, committal proceedings, pleas and appeals.
In 2009, Jessica completed a Master of Laws at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, graduating cum laude.
