Philip Teo practices predominantly in the areas of criminal and quasi-criminal law and administrative law. 

He has appeared unled in the Supreme Court of Victoria, the County Court of Victoria, the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, and the Children's Court of Victoria. He has also appeared in the Koori Court Divisions of the Magistrates' and County Courts and has undertaken cultural awareness training for persons who are members of Aboriginal communities.

He is on the Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List and holds an Indictable Crime Certificate from the Victorian Bar.
