Andrea accepts briefs to appear in Family Law, relationship law and all related jurisdictions.

Andrea appears regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in respect of both parenting and property proceedings and has a substantial Family Law practice. Andrea has a strong mediation practice, appearing as Counsel, where she is focused on acheiving optimal and cost effective outcomes for her clients.

Andrea also has extensive experience in written advocacy including the drafting and settling of court documents, the provision of written advice on complex issues, including operation of the Family Law Act 1975, the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989, the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, admissibility of evidence, and all other Family Law related issues.

Immediately prior to coming to the Bar Andrea worked as a Solicitor preparing complex matters for Trial. Andrea has experience in criminal law, which is of particular use in Family Law parenting proceedings that involve the assessment of risk.

Before being admitted to practice, Andrea was the Associate to Her Honour Judge Cotterell in the County Court.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney. Andrea read with Colin Mandy SC and her senior mentor was Suzanne McNicol QC.
