Jennifer Trewhella has a broad administrative and commercial law practice.
Jennifer has a particular specialty in the area of compulsory land acquisition, planning blight compensation and land valuation and rating having acted for government, statutory authorities and claimants/land owners on major land acquisitions in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Jennifer also has extensive experience in planning matters, including merits review hearings in VCAT, the Heritage Council, appeals in the Supreme Court, advisory committees and panel hearings.
In addition, she has acted in gaming matters, criminal prosecutions relating to local government and water authority matters, for the Director of Housing in residential tenancy matters and more generally in disputes involving property.
Prior to coming to the Bar Jennifer was a Senior Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in the Planning and Environment group and completed articles at Garland Hawthorn Brahe in 2007. From 2004-06 Jennifer was the Associate to Justice Robert Osborn of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
