Ran accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law, quasi-criminal law, administrative and public law.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Ran was a solicitor advocate at Victoria Legal Aid and later at Stary Norton Halphen. Ran worked daily across summary and indictable streams with carriage of both state and commonwealth matters.

Ran appeared in contested hearings, pleas, conviction and sentence appeals, bail applications, breach proceedings, Crimes Mental Impairment and Fitness to be Tried hearings, summary jurisdiction applications and SORA hearings. Ran was also an instructing solicitor in complex pleas, appeals, trials and committals in the Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts of Victoria. Ran has also appeared in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in relation to parenting matters arising out of family violence intervention orders.

Ran commenced her legal career as an Associate to his Honour Judge Anthony Kelly at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia working across family, migration and general law lists.

Ran is reading with Moya O’Brien and her senior mentors are the Honourable Anthony Kelly KC and Jason Gullaci SC.
