Prior to coming to the Bar, Sarah Fisken worked for over three years at Kennedy Partners (formerly Kennedy Wisewoulds), where she practised exclusively in Family/de Facto Law, and related jurisdictions. Before that, she was a solicitor at Fraser Nevett and Frawley where she worked in a broad range of practice areas including Family Law, Criminal Law, Children’s Court, and civil matters.
Sarah has considerable experience in all aspects of Family Law, including parenting, property and child support matters. Whilst at Kennedy Partners, Sarah also worked in the area of international matrimonial law, dealing with issues such as international relocation and parenting cases, international child support issues, and jurisdictional disputes.
In the course of her practice as a solicitor, Sarah appeared regularly for clients as a solicitor advocate in the Family Court of Australia, and the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia (now Federal Circuit Court of Australia). She has also appeared in the Magistrates’ Court, the County Court (in both criminal and civil jurisdictions) and in intervention order matters.
Sarah has undertaken volunteer work at Community Legal Centres where she has dealt with a wide range of general matters.
