Shannon Jenkins practises in commercial and public law.

Shannon regularly appears in courts, tribunals, and commissions, throughout Australia. He is an experienced advocate, and is comfortable running trials, applications, and appeals. 

He has particular expertise in corporations law, contracts, equity, trusts, insolvency, property, consumer law, trade practices law, defamation, civil procedure and the rules of evidence. 

Before joining the Bar, Shannon was a solicitor at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), in its Office of General Counsel. He advised the Premier and Cabinet Ministers on significant litigation involving the State of Victoria, Royal Commissions, and various high profile and sensitive public law matters.

Prior to joining DPC, he was a dispute resolution lawyer at Mills Oakley, specialising in commercial disputes and insolvency. He conducted a broad range of litigation on behalf of public companies, private companies, and insolvency practitioners, in all State and Federal Courts.

In addition to his practice, Shannon is a Teaching Associate at Monash University's Law School, teaching Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He has previously taught Evidence Law and Administrative Law at Deakin University.
