Starting with Online Mediation, they share their experiences and learnings from what was a watershed year of transition to the use of online platforms for conduct of mediations. Glen then discusses in some depth the legislative framework for and issues arising in mediation of commercial tenancy disputes that arose due to COVID-19 under the Omnibus Emergency Measures (Commercial Leases and Licences) Regulations, and some of the outcomes for landlords and tenants achieved through mediation.
William then develops the discussion further with an in-depth discussion about the cultural issues that arise in commercial mediations in particular in relation to Asian cultures.
