Alessandra Moussa

Alessandra practises primarily in employment & industrial law and public & administrative law. She has a particular interest in merits and judicial review, human rights, discrimination and migration law. She also accepts briefs in general commercial law.

Before coming to the Bar, Alessandra worked in-house as a senior lawyer at the University of Melbourne where she advised across a broad range of disputes & litigation in discrimination, employment & industrial law (including employment compliance), privacy & FOI and merits review.

Prior to that, Alessandra worked in private practice for top & mid-tier firms advising employer and private clients across a broad range of industries in employment, health and safety and industrial law matters. She has also worked with trade unions in the manufacturing and health service sectors.

Alessandra has experience across all areas of employment and industrial law, including award reviews, unfair dismissals, general protections, bullying and sexual harassment, employment contracts, industrial action, enterprise bargaining, workplace disputes and compliance reviews.

Her experience in both private practice and in the public sector gives her a strong understanding of the issues, motivations and concerns of clients across a broad range of industries. Alessandra welcomes briefs from both employees and employers.

Alessandra holds a Master of Employment and Labour Relations Law and a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne.
