Profile

Dr Cait Storr is currently undertaking the September 2025 Victorian Bar Readers Course and will sign the Bar Roll on 25th of September upon the successful completion of the course.

Cait practises in commercial and public law, with emphasis on property, environmental law and equity and trusts and interest in related fields including planning, native title, resources and wills and probate.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Cait was a solicitor with Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) in major projects and corporate governance and a Senior Lecturer at Melbourne Law School. She is a highly experienced legal researcher, has published widely in esteemed law journals, and has worked internationally as an academic including with Harvard Law School. Cait has taught property law, environmental law, public international law and climate litigation both nationally and internationally.

Cait holds a Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Doctor of Philosophy in law from the University of Melbourne, where she received numerous prizes and scholarships, including the prize for public law and the University Prize for her doctoral thesis.

Cait is reading with Rudi Kruse and her senior mentor is Susan Brennan SC.
