Profile
Candice accepts briefs in all areas of criminal and quasi-criminal law and public and administrative law.
Candice has experience in the Magistrates' Court, County Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Coroners Court, VCAT and in Inquests.
Prior to joining the Bar, Candice was a solicitor advocate at a private criminal defence firm, providing advice and representation to clients in a broad range of State and Commonwealth criminal matters, including serious indictable offences. Prior to private practice, Candice worked as a solicitor advocate at Victoria Legal Aid.
Candice was Associate to his Honour Judge James Montgomery, and later to his Honour Judge Bill Stuart in the criminal division of the County Court of Victoria. At the County Court, Candice was also Case Manager for Self-Represented Litigants and a Legal Policy Officer for the court.
Candice is a lecturer on Evidence Law at Deakin University.
Candice is Secretary and committee member of Tarwirri, a membership body comprising of Indigenous legal professionals and law students in Victoria. Candice is also a committee member of the Vicbar Indigenous Justice Committee.
