Christian Farinaccio

Christian is a common law barrister practising predominantly in personal injury and insurance matters.   He also accepts briefs in employment law, Royal Commissions, inquiries and regulatory prosecutions.  

Before coming to the Bar, Christian worked as a Senior Lawyer at the Royal Commission into the Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability,  where he assisted in the preparation, planning and delivery of public hearings, investigations and the preparation of evidence and witness statements.

Prior to this, Christian was an Associate at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and Lawyer with Zaparas Lawyers where he practised in WorkCover and Transport Accident matters.  During this time he litigated and pursued claims in all Victorian Courts.  He acted in statutory benefits disputes, serious injury applications, Medical Panel referrals, interlocutory applications, appeals, mediations and damages trials.  He also gained experience into worker's compensation, transport accident and public liability matters in NSW while working for Maurice Blackburn Lawyers.

Christian has also worked as a Solicitor in the Workplace Relations Branch at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office where he worked on regulatory prosecutions, class actions and employment matters.  Christian completed his Articles at Bazzani Scully Brand Lawyers, where he gained experience litigating a variety of commercial and employment disputes in all courts and VCAT.

Christian is a sessional tutor in law at Monash University.
