Profile
Daniel accepts briefs to appear in criminal, quasi-criminal, regulatory and public law matters including inquests and tribunals. He has a particular interest in the criminal law and accepts briefs from both prosecution agencies and defence.
Daniel is available to appear in all metropolitan and regional courts.
Before coming to the Bar, Daniel worked as a prosecutor at the Magistrates’ and Children’s Court of Victoria and has significant experience in the conduct of bail applications, plea hearings, contested hearings, Contest Mentions, intervention order applications, forensic procedure applications and other matters. This work included carriage of complex violent offences and serious sexual offences.
Prior to his work as a prosecutor, Daniel was a Detective at the Homicide Squad, Sexual Crimes Squad and other investigative units within Victoria Police. He has extensive experience in the conduct of investigations and criminal trials for serious crimes of violence, sexual offences, drug trafficking, property offences and other matters, across all criminal jurisdictions. Daniel also has experience with coercive hearings and Coronial hearings.
