Eliza Harrison

Eliza accepts briefs for both prosecuting agencies and the defence in criminal matters, intervention orders, regulatory and appellate matters. She is also available for coronial matters and in public and administrative law.
 
Before coming to the Bar, Eliza worked as a Senior Advocate at Victoria Police Prosecutions, where she regularly appeared in contested hearings, bail applications, plea hearings, contest mentions, forensic procedure applications and intervention order proceedings.
 
Eliza also worked as a solicitor at the Office of Public Prosecutions, where she appeared in the County Court and instructed in criminal trials in the County and Supreme Courts. Her experience includes the carriage of complex and serious criminal matters, including violent and sexual offences, as well as drug matters.

She has significant experience appearing in the Children's Court and regularly provides written advice on issues specific to this jurisdiction, such as the rebuttal of the presumption of doli incapax.
