Jake is an experienced advocate who appears in criminal and quasi-criminal matters.
Before coming to the Bar, Jake was an Associate Crown Prosecutor at the Office of Public Prosecutions Victoria. He appeared regularly for the Director in a wide range of criminal matters in the Magistrates’ Court and County Court, including bail applications, pleas, committal hearings and appeals. Jake also appeared as junior counsel in jury trials in the County Court.
Prior to that, Jake was a Senior Federal Prosecutor at the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions in the Organised Crime and National Security Branch.
Jake commenced his career as an Associate to Her Honour Judge Marich in the County Court of Victoria.
Jake is reading with Ruth Champion and his senior mentor is Jason Gullaci SC.
