James is available to accept briefs in all areas of family law and related jurisdictions.
Before coming to the Bar, James was a solicitor practicing exclusively in family law for seven years, most recently as a Senior Associate at a prominent Melbourne family law firm. Throughout, he regularly instructed and appeared in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia.
James obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, completing an Honours Thesis in Political Science. Throughout tertiary study he was employed in a supervisory role in the Family Law Assistance Program at Monash Oakleigh Legal Service.
