Jasmine Still

Jasmine has broad public law experience, including inquests, supervision orders, administrative law, professional disciplinary proceedings and summary criminal law. She has acted in complex cases involving application of the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 and principles of public interest immunity.

Jasmine was an Associate to the Hon Chief Justice Allsop AC of the Federal Court of Australia (as His Honour then was). She was then Tipstaff to the Hon Justice Bergin AO SC, Chief Judge in Equity of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (as Her Honour then was). In these roles Jasmine assisted with diverse proceedings, including in migration, native title and equity.

She practiced as a lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor, including advising on constitutional and statutory interpretation and acting in litigation involving Commonwealth compensation and employment law.

Jasmine then practiced at the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office for five years where she represented the Victorian government in inquests, personal injury claims, judicial review applications, supervision orders under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997, summary criminal prosecutions and privacy, freedom of information and discrimination cases.

Prior to coming to the bar, Jasmine was a Senior Associate at Russell Kennedy Lawyers, where her practice included disciplinary proceedings for the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and complex inquests.

Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Arts/Laws (First Class Honours) from the Australian National University. She was awarded the University Medal in Law and the Supreme Court Judges' Prize.
