Jonathan practises primarily in public and commercial law. He also accepts briefs in criminal and regulatory matters.
Jonathan regularly appears in trial and appellate courts, both with and without a leader, as well as in VCAT and the AAT. His public law practice includes advising and acting on behalf of a broad range of government clients, including the Department of Home Affairs, Child Support Registrar, National Disability Insurance Agency, Migration Agents Registration Authority, and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Jonathan holds a Masters of Law from the University of Melbourne.
Jonathan is a sessional lecturer in Administrative Law and Evidence in the Juris Doctor at Monash University. He is also a member of the Football Federation Victoria Disciplinary Tribunal and a reporter for the Victorian Reports and the Federal Law Review.
Jonathan read with Alistair Pound SC and his senior mentor was Simon Steward QC (now Justice Steward).
