Kepler Ryan

Kepler has practised exclusively in family law since 2010 and accepts briefs to appear in and advise on all matters relating to family law and related jurisdictions, including child support and family violence intervention order proceedings.

Kepler is an Accredited Family Law Specialist through the Law Institute of Victoria and is also a qualified AIFLAM mediator and arbitrator.  He has been recognised in Doyle’s Guide and Best Lawyers.

Kepler regularly appears in interim and final hearings, both led and un-led.  He also appears in appeals to the Full Court of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Following his admission, Kepler was Legal Associate to the Honourable Justice Bennett AO and the Honourable Justice Cronin at what is now called Division 1 of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Before joining the Bar, Kepler was a Senior Associate in Lander & Rogers’ Family and Relationship Law team, where his practice focused on property disputes in high-net-worth matters, usually involving business interests and complex trust and corporate structures.

Kepler is the Victorian Bar representative of the Law Institute of Victoria Family Law Section Executive Committee.  He has previously served as Chair of the LIV Family Law Section Education Working Group and regularly presents papers at professional development events for other lawyers.
