Profile

Kiran practices in public and administrative law, including merits and judicial review proceedings, as well as in general and appellate civil law matters. 

Prior to coming to the Bar, Kiran practiced as a Solicitor within the Civil Claims Team at the Australian Government Solicitor, where he worked across a wide range of intentional torts and sensitive public law matters.

Kiran was also an Associate at Maddocks, advising on regulation, statutory interpretation, and governance for statutory and government bodies. He has extensive experience managing merits review within the National Disability Insurance Scheme jurisdiction, from alternative dispute resolution to hearing (150+ matters).

Previously, Kiran was a Manager at KPMG, where he led strategic reviews and investigations in risk and governance for the Victorian Public Sector, including the Department of Justice and Community Safety and the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.

Kiran holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Bond University and is a Master of Laws candidate at the University of Melbourne.

Kiran is reading with Andrew Yuile and his senior mentor is Richard Knowles KC.
