Profile

Martha accepts briefs in all commercial and common law matters.

She has a strong interest in class actions, general contractual disputes, defamation, competition and consumer law, media law and sports law, as well as personal injury and medical negligence.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Martha was a solicitor in the litigation teams at Allens and Gadens. She has acted for a variety of local and international clients across a range of industries and jurisdictions.  Martha primarily worked on general commercial matters, including acting for the Plaintiffs in Transit Pty Ltd & Anor v Arch Underwriting at Lloyd’s (Australia) Pty Ltd & Ors [2024] VSC 485 and World Touring Melbourne Ltd v Australian Grand Prix Corporation [2024] VSC 521.

Martha graduated with a Juris Doctor from Flinders University. She also has a Bachelor of Communications (Public Relations).

Martha is reading with Ben Gibson SC and her senior mentor is Nicholas De Young KC.
