Profile

Michael practices in general commercial, construction and insurance litigation.

Michael advises and appears in matters involving complex litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and arbitration. The majority of Michael's matters involve complex issues of expert evidence. He has a keen interest in developing an appropriate litigation strategy with both the necessary expert evidence and the commercial interests of his clients front of mind.

Michael appears both led and unled in all Courts and Tribunals.

Michael is a nationally accredited mediator through the Victorian Bar and accepts briefs to mediate all commercial disputes.

Michael is a co-author of the 5th and 6th Editions of Brooking on Building Contracts. He has published a number of articles, including in relation to substituted service, builders' duties and matters relating to the Owners Corporations Act.

Michael read with Scott Stuckey KC and his senior mentor is Fiona McLeod SC.
