Nic Edmondson practises primarily in all areas of family law and personal injuries in Victoria and interstate.
Nic was admitted to practice in 2017 and worked at Ogilvie Jennings for six years prior to joining the Tasmanian Bar in 2023 and the Victorian Bar as an interstate member in 2025.
Nic’s background in advocacy commenced in family law and criminal law before he developed broader experience in civil litigation, workers compensation and industrial matters. As Tasmania is a fused profession, Nic would conduct all of his own trial work whilst he was employed solicitor.
Nic has experience conducting contested matters in the following jurisdictions:
- Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
- Supreme Court
- Magistrates’ Court
- Civil and Administrative Tribunals
Nic will accept briefs funded by Legal Aid, and is also a Registered practitioner on the Family Violence and Cross-Examination of Parties Scheme (Legal Aid Commission Tasmania).
