Nicole accepts briefs to appear and advise in a wide range of commercial and civil matters, with a focus on Corporations Act matters, contractual disputes, insolvency, equity, property, class actions, Australian Consumer Law and claims concerning wills and estates.
She is regularly briefed on a led and unled basis, primarily in the Supreme Court of Victoria, County Court of Victoria, Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit and Family Court and VCAT.
Nicole has a subspeciality in Corporations Act, insolvency and bankruptcy matters. She also appears and advises in leasing and property disputes, including those concerning equitable interests over land and co ownership disputes. She has experience in class actions, including as a solicitor.
Nicole has a busy interlocutory practice and frequently accepts briefs to appear on an urgent basis. Prior to coming to the bar, Nicole spent many years as a solicitor in NSW, where she was the partner of Addisons (a boutique law firm), with a practice in commercial litigation (including arbitration) and insolvency.
Prior to the bar Nicole also worked as special counsel at Baker McKenzie and Norton Rose Fulbright, and was extensively involved in the defence of the 7-Eleven Class Action. Nicole has also been historically recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a leading individual in Insolvency and Reconstruction Law (NSW).
