Profile

Sana has a varied practice and primarily accepts briefs to appear in criminal and quasi-criminal law matters as well as appearing in family violence intervention order proceedings. She is also open to accepting briefs in family and children's law. 

She has a strong interest in enforcement and dispute resolution. 

Before coming to the Bar, Sana worked as a solicitor for four years in the Public Law group at Maddocks. She gained extensive experience in statutory and strategic planning matters, appearing in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. She also advised local government on enforcement and compliance issues, including matters prosecuted in the Magistrates’ Court. 

Sana has a strong academic foundation, having taught law at La Trobe University. She taught subjects including Commercial Law, Contract Law, Mediation, and International Dispute Resolution to the Juris Doctor cohort, further strengthening her expertise in commercial and alternative dispute resolution matters.

Sana holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from Monash University.  

Sana read with Andrew Woods SC and her senior mentor is Rishi Nathwani SC.
