Profile

Sana has a broad practice and accepts briefs in criminal and quasi-criminal matters, family violence intervention order proceedings, and family law. She has appeared in parenting matters and recovery order applications in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. She has extensive experience in the Children's Court and family violence intervention order matters in the Magistrates’ Court.

Sana is a strong negotiator and welcomes briefs involving alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Sana practiced as a solicitor for four years in the Public Law group at Maddocks. In that role, she gained significant experience in statutory interpretation and strategic planning matters, including appearances in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. She also advised local government clients on enforcement and compliance issues. 

Sana has a strong academic background and has taught law at La Trobe University. She lectured in Commercial Law, Contract Law, Mediation, and International Dispute Resolution in the Juris Doctor program, further strengthening her expertise in commercial and alternative dispute resolution matters.

Sana holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from Monash University. 

Sana read with Andrew Woods SC and her senior mentor is Rishi Nathwani SC.
