Sharni practices in employment and industrial relations. She also accepts briefs in administrative law and civil regulatory matters.
She has experience across all areas of employment and industrial law, including unfair dismissals, general protections, bullying and sexual harassment, employment contracts, restraint of trade and protection of confidential information, right of entry, industrial action, enterprise bargaining, workplace disputes and compliance reviews.
Immediately before coming to the Bar, Sharni was in-house at BHP. Prior to this, Sharni was a solicitor at MinterEllison in the Workplace team. Sharni was also a solicitor at AGS in the Administrative Law team.
Sharni commenced her career as Associate to Commissioner Platt of the Fair Work Commission.
Sharni is reading with Alex Manos and her senior mentor is Jack Tracey KC.
