Tom practices in criminal, quasi-criminal, administrative, and disciplinary matters.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Tom was a Senior Associate at Galbally Parker (previously Galbally Rolfe) under the mentorship of Bob Galbally and Ruth Parker. He regularly appeared on behalf of clients in all Victorian state courts, including the Children’s Court and the Coroners Court.
Tom has represented clients charged with murder, culpable driving, large commercial quantity drug trafficking, dangerous driving causing death, significant fraud charges and attempt to pervert the course of justice. He was the instructing solicitor for the Applicant in Cvetanovski v The Queen [2020] VSCA 272, the second successful Lawyer X conviction appeal after Orman v The Queen [2019] VSCA 163 – an appeal in which Tom also assisted.
Tom was a nominee in the 2021 Doyle’s Guide Victorian Criminal Law Rising Star list.
Before studying law, Tom completed a Bachelor of Music (with Honours) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, writing a thesis on German baroque music.
Tom is reading with Barnaby Johnston and his senior mentor is Megan Tittensor S.C..
