Profile
Yael has a broad practice spanning public law, regulatory law, criminal law and commercial law.
Yael also has experience in transnational tort litigation, public international law and national security law.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Yael managed teams in the External Review Branch of the National Disability Insurance Agency that instructed in high volume and complex litigation involving vulnerable applicants. Yael represented the Agency in case conferences and conciliations in the Administrative Review Tribunal and instructed in sensitive, high-risk matters in federal courts and tribunals, including cases raising novel questions of statutory interpretation.
Earlier in her career, Yael worked for an international firm acting for victims of terrorism in litigation in Europe and the United States against corporate and State sponsors of terrorism.
Yael was Associate to the Honourable Justice Lyons of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
She holds a Juris Doctor (with Commendation) from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Government with a specialisation in National Security from Reichman University.
She is fluent in Hebrew.
