Phillip DUNN KC
Philip Dunn QC is an experienced trial advocate who has conducted trials and pleas for forty years.
As a trial lawyer he conducts defences in all types of criminal matters; notably murder, conspiracy, corporate and tax fraud and, drug and sex offences. In addition, Philip has appeared in many Royal Commissions, inquests and sports law matters.
Philip has been a Chairman of Foley's List of Barristers, a member of the Victorian Bar Council, Chairman of the Addiction Research Institute, a member of the Lord Mayor's Drug Advisory Committee and a number of Bar Council and related committees. He is currently a committee member of the Criminal Bar Association of Victoria and the Victorian Bar Arts and Collections Committee.
paul holdenson
Paul has developed a specialist practice as an appellate advocate, appearing predominantly in criminal appeals. He regularly appears before the Victorian Court of Appeal, the High Court of Australia and interstate appellate courts, including Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.His practice also involves appearances in first instance matters in the Federal, Supreme and County Courts, and the provision of written opinions. Paul also regularly advises and appears for both private clients and government agencies in a wide range of regulatory and quasi-criminal matters.
He has particular interests in the law of criminal procedure and the law of evidence and has co-authored a number of articles concerning various aspects of the law of evidence which have been published in the Australian Law Journal.
