Anna practises exclusively in family law, including providing advice, appearing at Court and drafting documents in property cases, children's matters, matters relating to de facto and same sex couples, spousal maintenance, child support, financial agreements and international family law matters.

Prior to joining the bar in May 2016, Anna gained considerable experience in advising and representing clients in family law matters, including extensive court appearance experience, practising as a solicitor exclusively in the area of family law for approximately 10 years. Immediately prior to joining the bar, Anna was a Partner at a specialist CBD family law firm.

As a solicitor, Anna was accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a specialist in both Family Law and Children's Law. Anna sat on a number of Law Institute of Victoria committees, including the Family Law Executive and the Family Law Courts Practice Committee, and chaired the Law Institute of Victoria Children and Youth Issues Committee. She also acted as an Independent Children’s Lawyer.

Anna has presented papers in Victoria, interstate and internationally and has written articles which have been published in various law journals on a wide range of family law topics, including family law property matters, child support applications, family violence legislation, de facto property settlements, contravention proceedings and binding financial agreements. She has also worked as an author for the Thomson Reuters publications Dickey’s Family Law with Legislation and The Laws of Australia; and as a contributing editor to the journal Family Law Review. Anna has also worked in family law research and as a teaching associate for Monash University.

Anna holds a doctorate in the area of family law from Monash University and is currently undertaking a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne. She is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and the Women Barristers’ Association.
