Peter is a nationally accredited and approved as a Victorian Bar Advanced Mediator under the VBAM scheme, having conducted over 750 mediations. He has experience conducting remote mediations via Zoom. Peter was a coach/assessor for the Lawyers Mediation Certificate (LMC) 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Peter practises in commercial and insolvency litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He appears regularly in interlocutory hearings, trials and appeals in the Federal, Supreme, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Divs 1 and 2) and County courts.

Peter has been named in Doyle's Guide for Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution since 2018, and for Insolvency & Restructuring since 2015.

Carey has a special interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution and has since being accredited in 2004 acted as mediator in well in excess of 1500 mediations in a wide variety of matters. He is a nationally Accredited Mediator and also obtained an Accreditation as an Advanced Mediator of the Victorian Bar in May 2006. He is also a member of the Panel of mediators of the Law Institute of Victoria, and has also been an accredited mediator under the Farm Debt Mediation Act (1994) NSW.

Carey also has a wealth of experience in most areas of litigation spanning in excess of some 40 years in private practice. During this time Carey has acted for clients and appeared in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, County Court, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Magistrates' Court jurisdictions.
