In this Daze in Court episode, Foley's List barristers Rohan Hoult and Simon Fuller sit down alongside solicitor Raffaella Oliva from Hope Earle Lawyers to share and discuss some papers they have written. Raffaella explores adult children seeking access to their parent’s file, drawing from her article Through the Looking Glass. Simon delves into the strategic use of third parties in property proceedings. 



Rohan Hoult is a former Senior Judicial Registrar of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, who returned to the Bar in 2023. Rohan can now appear in all courts, including Division 1 and Division 2 of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA). He has over 35 years’ experience practicing exclusively in family law. Rohan’s extensive practice has included significant trial and appellate work, complex child and property matters, and experience in Magellan cases. He is also an AIFLAM Nationally Accredited Mediator.

Simon Fuller has a particular interest in equitable disputes involving real property, disputes involving third parties in the courts’ accrued jurisdiction, and matters involving questions of bankrupcty and liquidation. He has acted for and against bankruptcy trustees, liquidators, intervening creditors, and the Commissioner of Taxation.

Raffaella Oliva is an Associate Lawyer at Hope Earle working predominantly within the Family Law team. She has assisted in a diverse range of parenting matters including urgent recovery orders, schooling disputes and care arrangements.
