In this episode, Foley’s barristers Glen Pauline and Duncan Willis discuss the cases of Leon Cycle Pty Ltd v Hi5 Scooters Pty Ltd and LCA Traralgon v Ashlee Johnson.

They look at how these two cases played out, and lessons learned for those drafting franchising agreements and involved in franchising disputes.


 

Glen Pauline practices as counsel and mediator in commercial disputes including, employment, property and franchising matters. He has over 30 years of experience in legal practice. 

He regularly mediates commercial contractual disputes including Franchising, Horticulture and Oil Code matters, along with retail and commercial leasing, Property Law Act co-ownership disputes, and more.

Duncan Willis has a broad practice in commercial law with a particular focus on insolvency and matters arising under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

He also practices in public law, especially in migration and NDIS matters, and accepts briefs to appear in all Australian courts and tribunals.
